Join us as we venture to the beautiful Hudson Valley for a visit to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. The school was founded in 1946, and is the oldest culinary school in the U.S.  We will dine at Ristorante Caterina De Medici; a Tuscan style dining room that overlooks a stunning herb and rose garden, and just steps away from spectacular Hudson River views.  Our lunch will be prepared by culinary school students, and features the following menu: 

First Course:  Vegetable minestrone soup

Entree Choices:  A tasting of three pastas- lasagna, penne and porcini risotto

 or Roasted chicken, semolina gnocchi and glazed carrots.

Dessert:  Apple cake with whipped ricotta and honey: 

Following lunch, a CIA student will give our group a guided tour of the school.  After the tour, enjoy some time on your own to visit the Apple Pie Bakery Café or the Craig Claiborne Book Store.

Price per person:  $122 (non-refundable) includes round trip coach transportation, lunch (includes tax and gratuity) and guided tour. Tip for driver not included.  Departure time:  8:00 AM.  Approximate arrival home:  7:00 – 7:30 p.m.   The trip is intended for adults 18 and older.
