Though the William Floyd Estate is best known as the home of William Floyd, a revolutionary war general and signer of the Declaration of Independence, it was also the center of a complex and vibrant community. From the pre-colonial era to the American Revolution, the Civil War to the 1960s, there is a bit of history at the William Floyd Estate for everyone. Learn more about William Floyd, his family, and the folks who lived on and worked the grounds, shaping the landscape of Mastic Beach for generations.
