APPOINTMENTS ARE NECESSARY AND WILL TAKE PLACE IN PERSON AT THE MASTIC RECREATION CENTER, 15 HERKIMER ST., MASTIC, NY

Appointments last approximately 25 minutes.

HIICAP. Health Insurance Information, Counseling and Assistance Program is a federally funded program from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and a sponsored service project of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Suffolk.

A trained HIICAP counselor from RSVP will offer counseling and can assist with:

* Applying for the Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) Program, Medicare savings programs, "Extra Help" prescription assistance, and pharmacy discount programs.

* Medicare and health insurance questions about benefits, options, paperwork, and resources

* Information on insurance products that may help pay for costs not covered by Medicare alone such as a Medigap or a Medicare Advantage Plan.

* How to review and select a Medicare Part D prescription plan.
