This program is intended for ages 18 and older.

The final toll was 146 people—123 of them women. It was the deadliest workplace disaster in New York City history until September 2001 and it changed America with better labor laws and the advancement of women’s suffrage. Copies are available at the Circulation Desk after December 28.

To ensure that as many adults as possible are able to attend our programs, spots are guaranteed for those who are registered and arrive promptly. A waiting list is used to fill cancellations before a program begins or for no-shows the day of a program. This does not apply to fee based programs.
